Good Evening,

    It was sunny and warm today.  Most of the snow has melted so I went
for a walk to check the damage to the forest.  A few dozen broken trees
ranging from ten inches in diameter to twenty.  Their trunks exploded
into many shards around thirty feet up.  Only the Doug fir shattered;
cedar and hemlock trees are unharmed.  Some birds returned and daffodils
are growing though the remaining snow.

    The sun looks almost bare but the flux is still high.  A rain of
protons is absorbing RF around the poles.  There was a strong flare from
a sunspot not yet facing Earth.  Propagation should be OK tomorrow, with
plenty of QSB and a steady hiss from the ion flow.

    NACA, the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics, was the
precursor to NASA.  During the 1920s they codified airfoils with four
digit numbers.  I wrote some code to give me the coordinates of an
airfoil surface from their equations.  I created a dozen airfoil
profiles to place into my wind tunnel code.  Screen shots of the results
are here:    http://bacona.design/tunnel.html

    And now for something completely different:
