I share the OP's sentiments, and like one of the other respondents I too am determined to keep the KX3 CESSB flame burning. After all- the KX3 is still barely into double figures in the Sherweng list after how many- at least 13 years? It is even running higher than the K4 although that of course doesn't tell the whole story. I would take this opportunity to remind Wayne gently that he allowed that CESSB for the KX3 was still "on the list" during an online Zoom interview at the launch of the KH1 with "Gil", "The Radio Prepper". You can read it in the comments of that clip. Surely the KX3/2 are both prime candidates for CESSB pushing a simulation of 40 or 50-odd watts from such a radio? If the barefoot K4 doesn't push out sufficient RF smoke, it can just have a linear hooked up before the ubiquitous monolithic Uda-Yagi at 60 metres above terra firma? The trouble is, in reality the K4 has been a gargantuan load on Elecraft's resources, and inevitably whilst on "the list", the KX3 just gets pushed down that list as they scramble to support the customers for the newer kit. That's just life I'm afraid to say. The way I look at it is that I expect nothing and then I can't be disappointed but could with a tail wind end up being delighted. For now, I prefer to avoid reading about the K4 and KH1, but as the OP said, that doesn't leave much else.

If you go to the KX groups.io, you'll experience the same; along came the KH1 and Lo! it came to pass that virtually all the considerable daily traffic for the KX line pretty much dried up, leading to the reasonable assumption that a decade's-worth of "problems" with the KX line had coincidentally been fixed, and virtually overnight at that.

I'm afraid the reality is that the KK line has been orphaned. Unless or until there is a resumption of Elecraft representation here in The UK, I'm sad to say that I've bought my last Elecraft product. The Elecraft line always sold at a premium over here, but as of now, service if needed comes at a crippling premium that even dwarfs the initial outlay. The European "solutions" are barely any better either.

I have tried to be objective and avoid falling into criticism of Elecraft for whom I have a great deal of respect and who have been helpful to me in the past, and I live in hope ...
