I'm not missing any point at all. If my signal is S-7 and I'm beating out
QRO guys that are 10 over, there is no "heavy lifting" at all. It's all
about timing and frequency selection. Sure, there are times where the
other guy is doing the bulk of the work. But not as often as the "life is
too short for QRP" folks might think.
Hey, I'm all for QRO and big antennas. I've had them before and will
again. I also chose to dedicate a full solar cycle to operating QRP. I
enjoy different aspects of radio operating.
