I do the same, Rick, except that I'm driving an 80M dipole with 
considerable feedline loss, so I run about 150W out of the amp. Works 
great, by the way.

I did the same with my KPA500 during 100W contests, so that I could run 
the K3 at lower power. That both reduces distortion and load on the 
100Ah LiFePO4 battery that runs the two radios on my operating desk.
