[Elecraft] Microbit device manager and virtual ports

Howdy,

I would like to know if you have to have the RemoteRig Control box connected via USB (mini) to the PC to have your virtual ports open. I note that if I connect it I see 4 virtual ports, COM1,2,3 and Ext, but if I disconnect the box the virtual ports disappear so, is it necessary to have it connected to the PC in order to be able to work with those virtual ports.? I don’t see the way to save them and remove that USB cable..
