My one hesitation is over the fact that the whip can only be used in a hand-held mode unless a right-angle connector or some sort of stand could be fabricated.

We're panning to design a right-angle adapter for the whip. But you could also use our AX1 or AX2 whips with a BNC-L and an AXB2 bipod.
