Glad to hear of the fix!

My Astron 50M rack-mount vibrates and hums at times, but I cures with
mechanical lifting the unsupported back. I will install rack rails when
I move to the new hamshack (in a couple weeks).

I have an old GE MASTR-II repeater PS that hums at startup but tapers
off after warming. 15v at 35A its a brute with massive transformer. But I
just use it as bench supply intermittently, so live with the hum.

I have two of these and the second one will get installed at my 2m-eme
tower base to drive the Alfa-Spid RAK azimuth rotator (220-feet from new
hamshack). A HP "blade" 50V/50A switching supply also located there to
feed my 1200w 2m sspa (120-foot No. 2awg 240vac line runs from house).

I have an Astron VM35 that blew a diode and seems to have a ground fault
after repair. Maybe get around to look at it someday. It made a nice
bench supply when it worked.
