[Elecraft] I've injured my KAT-100

Hi Don,

By the way, the K2 S/N is 7225.

The radio room can get down to <10 deg C (40-50 deg F) during most of the winter, I only heat it when I use it. However, I was gone for most of January, so maybe the room was colder, and that's what happened.

At that room temperature range, I generally have to let the K2 warm up for 30-45 minutes before the frequency stabilizes - then it is very stable (per its specifications, I think).

Right now according to my IR thermometer gun, the heatsink temperature tracks with what shows in the "CAL tpa" menu. That's after a couple of ~10min QSOs.

Thank you for taking the time to answer.

Jim KO5V

Jim,

At any time did you power on the K2 when the temperature was below 0 deg C? That is one way to change the CAL TPA value.
