Hi,
Thanks to everyone that sent suggestions regarding my broken K2/10.

I tried all suggestions but still broken, I did find that the frequency probe was broken though.

The probe is now fixed and have been able to go through the alignment steps from the manual.

I got as far as the VCO alignment step.  I was not able to get the 6 volts on R30.  Adjusting the slug in L30 only resulted in a range of approx. 2.5 – 4.5 volts.

To recap the events that led to the failure, the transceiver was working fine until I noticed that the power out on my external watt meter was about 50% higher than I set the power to.  I was in the process of calibrating the internal ATU when the power cut out and left the K2 in this state.

Any suggestions?

Is there a service and repair facility for Elecraft rigs in the UK?
