Skip, CHU is still on the air. I often use the 3330 kHz frequency. Also 7850 and 14670.

Can’t solve your mystery, though!

I was looking for CHU on 7850 or close, and as I was tuning up from 40 m, I encountered a VERY strong signal around 75xx or so which sounded like RTTY, at which point my K3 froze. No control did anything, including the K-Pod and the power switch, the very strong signal just kept on blaring from the headphones, and nothing I could do could change anything in the rig.

K3 seems to be working fine otherwise I have the general coverage BPF, no sub-rx, and it doesn't seem to be mode-dependent ... tune across this huge signal and everything freezes.
