[Elecraft] Any KX2 or KX3 owners have experience with the IC-7300

I've got a KX3 and an IC-7300.

The 7300 uses a moderately clacky relay for T/R switching but something
silent (to my ears) for sending CW while the relay is in the T position.

If you expect the basically instant and completely silent QSK of the KX3,
you'll be disappointed.

If you don't mind turning the QSK delay up a bit, it might not bug you, but
you might not want to for contesting.

Beyond the clattery QSK, I found the interface of the 7300 much less
efficient. Elecraft has quite expertly packed many commonly-used controls
onto those three knobs below the screen, and Icom has neither the UX
expertise nor the actual physical knobs to match that convenience.

Basically, I begrudgingly use the 7300 when I need the output power (I
don't own a KXPA100... yet), but far prefer basically everything about the
KX3 + PX3.

73,

Julie
