RIGHT!

I went to battle on this with an ARRL "RFI legend" on this for the 2010
Handbook and lost, but he was DEAD WRONG. The problems are not
"fundamental overload," which is a bogus concept, but BAD design. The
dominant cause is Pin One Problems in victim equipment, articulated by
Neil Muncy, ex-W3WJO(SK), in 1994. Neil published on this in 1994, I
expanded on it in 2003 and 2005. My extensive work on this is in many
applications notes at k9yc.com/publish.htm and I've been a contributor
to the ARRL Handbook and Antenna Book since 2010. Neil and I were both
elected Fellows of the Audio Engineering Society, partially on the basis
of this work (we both did lot of other important work in audio.)
