I have three K3 transceivers. They all work in digital modes properly.
They all properly play the DVK *wav files from N1MM+ function keys (CQ,
TU, Exch, etc) properly, and on-the-fly CTRL+SHIFT+Fx to record the DVK
files for N1MM+ works properly.
I am working toward having them able to be operated remotely, using
ANYDESK to control the computer and interfaced K3, and using MUMBLE for
the two-way audio in all modes.
MUMBLE is working great with one exception: When the remote operator
speaks into his microphone and the K3 goes to transmit, his spoken audio
is fed back into his ears (with the round trip latency) as if the K3
MONITOR is turned on, when in fact MONITOR=0.
The physical audio connections between the PC and the K3 are:
-- PC line out <=> K3 line in
-- PC line/mike in <=> K3 line out
Via lots of trial and error, I've found that the configuration below
works without causing the "monitor" effect, but then the AF GAIN of the
K3 must be used, and this doesn't work well for digital modes.
-- PC line out <=> K3 line in
-- PC line/mike in <=> K3 rear panel speaker out
Under normal circumstances, should the K3 LINE IN "bleed over" to the K3
LINE OUT in real-time as described in paragraph 3 above?
