[Elecraft] KAT500 serial pinout?

As shown on page 5 of the KAT500 schematic:  12V levels, Tip = Rx, Ring = Tx.

Can I wire a standard 9 pin serial cable to the 3 pin connector on the
KAT500? Is it 5V only or does it use RS232 levels?

What is the pin out?
