While this does work for transmitting, it also is a recipe for "RF in 
the shack." In addition to "lighting up" the shack, the counterpoise 
does not stop at the station -- it continues on every wire connected to 
the station, including power wiring. At a minimum, this demands serious 
bonding of everything in the station.
