You connect from the PC to the Jack labeled RS232 (PC) with the Elecraft provided cable.

It will pass through the commands for the KX3 at part of the integrated system of amp and radio.

(Now, if you have to upgrade the firmware on the KX3, you would want to unplug from the amp, and connect directly to the KX3 for that procedure.)

there is a diagram in the KXPA100 manual that covers this configuration.  Description starting on Page 11, image on Page 12 (Figure 3) and completing description on page 13.  Top of page 13, description for Connector 3 covers things best.

New owner of KX3 and KPA100 amplifier.  I'm working on FD configuration.  I have KPA-100 amplifier interfaced with KX3 using Elecraft provided cable (plugs into RJ45 on back of KPA100 and jacks Aux1 and Aux2 on KX3.  If I'm already using Aux1/Aux2 jacks on KX3 to interface with KPA100, how do I obtain access to KX3 to also control rig from N1MM+/computer interface?  Is this a question of using either Aux1/Aux2 jack for rig control and not running KPA100 or use Aux1/Aux2 jack for KPA100 but then no rig control from N1MM+??  Is it not possible to do both?
