The KXUSB cable from back of Flex to amp is best method to have amp (and amp internal tuner) track radio frequency and band.
For control of amp, plug the amp Into your network (Ethernet port) then run the KPA1500 Remote app for normal operation. You can run the KPA1500 Utility via network for any configuration. Note - only one of the two apps can run at one time, so use the utility to configure amp them Remote app for control and monitoring. Works very well.
