[Elecraft] KX3/KPA100/Powerwerx Question

I assume RF power level settings for the KXPA100 and K3 are the same?

I had similar issues with the Powerwerx, but it occurs only with loads above 15 amps for any length of time.  The fan noise was so loud it was annoying.  With some age on the supply it's much worse.  I swapped to an Astron Linear years ago and have never looked back - no fan, no noise.  I leave it on all of the time to keep my battery plant charged using a Low Loss Power gate.

I have a KX3/KPA100/Powerwerx setup.  When I run the rig with the amp on, my Powerwerx 30 amp power supply makes a whirling sound.  If I run the rig without the amp, the power supply makes no noise.  When I run may K3 it makes no noise.  Is there a problem causing the noise?Thanks,Jim W7JHR
