In 1975 I bought a HP25 for around $125.  Though it wasn't labeled 'C' it was a HP25C. After that I could never really use an algebraic calculator.  

A few years back I really wanted a new HP RPN calculator.  I "built" a WP 34S.  You take a HP-20b or HP-30b reflash the firmware and put an overlay on the keyboard.  It's a fantastic solution for those wanting a really good HP calculator.  They have also produced a very professional manual.

Someday I may buy a swissmirco, but for now this is perfect.
