[Elecraft] Seeking input on 3rd-party microphones used with our transceivers

I use a Zoom H4n "Handy Recorder" as my primary system mike. It has a
built-in USB interface, and is powered by the USB port. I use Voicemeeter
to connect it to my KX3. I also use a USB sound dongle to run digital
modes, once again directing the correct devices to the correct software. My
whole system is designed to let me operate from my powered recliner and
look on the screen to control the radio via Win4K3Suite. This is important
because due to an injury, I can't turn my neck very much or for very long.
The rig is currently off the air until I can replace the rack I'd mounted
it to using RAM mounts. I haven't gotten around to it because the darned
rack is heavy, and I can't move much weight. Winter is a bad time for me
physically, so until I can gain a little energy in warmer weather, it's
probably going to be down.
But that H4n makes one heck of a dandy mike for use on the air! It has full
studio quality, and can also be used by itself to do 4-track recording.
When in this mode, it is powered by 2 AA cells, and stores audio on a
full-sized SD card. It's an amazing device, one I've had for years, and
still haven't used all of its features.
