Fred, Byron, All,
Fun OT thread! I am looking at my K&E Cooke Radio (Modified Polyphase Duplex Decitrig) and it's manuals... bought at the K&E store in NYC in 1972 while I was at USCG ET "A" School at Governors Island, NY. It still works! 😊
Next to it is my old Bowmar "Brain" calculator that I acquired a little later... also still works, but only with its power supply. Somewhere along the way there were a half dozen others - none really worth keeping since cell phone apps do the same basic calculations.
I still prefer the slide rule approach because I don't need to judge what number of insignificant digits to discard/round off. LOL

I still have and use my K&E Log log Duplex Vector ... after all this time, I still remember the motions although I don't remember the formulae. There's something visual about it
