Happy New Year,

    It was an exciting week.  I got to see trees flying past my house.  
Now there is a stack of green alder chunks next to the driveway.  After 
a day or two the exposed wood oxidizes to an orange hue.  The roof is 
fine though I have ceased resetting my clocks.  Power drops out at least 
once a day if not more often.  A few limbs must be hanging from wires 
somewhere.

    The sun is tossing flares at earth again.  One caused a black out 
yesterday, another is due Wednesday.  The ionosphere should have enough 
ions to support comms.  QSB will be moderate controlled by skip angles 
and the number of hops.  The sun is coming back again.  The forty meter 
net should have propagation much like last week.
