Good Evening,

    It has not snowed in two days.  It got sunny and mild today so I 
took a walk.  This winter's storm damage is localized to only a few 
areas.  Those received heavy snow loads followed by high winds.  There 
are a variety of failure modes.  All of the ferns are crushed flat to 
the ground, walking is easier when you can navigate the mountain beaver 
communities.  Lots of elk sign as they locate new paths through the area.

    Remember when the sun was blank?  You could predict propagation, 
even though it was mostly poor.  The way the sun has been acting the 
last few weeks has made it hard to know when you can make contact.  
However, the rate of flux is high, sunspots are numerous and active, 
with a forecast of no CMEs in the near future.  Maybe conditions will be 
OK.  You never know until you try.
