[Elecraft] K2/100 RS232 trouble

Bo,

You are using the special RS232 cable aren’t you? You must connect with a cable matching the special pinout first. If you try a straight connection it will fail.

Try the K2 and its cable into an interface unit such as the Modular Technology interfaker (like https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/224519972647 <https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/224519972647>) or something smaller such as https://cpc.farnell.com/pro-signal/t-mb460p/rs232-check-tester/dp/CS11237?ost=pro+signal+t-mb460 <https://cpc.farnell.com/pro-signal/t-mb460p/rs232-check-tester/dp/CS11237?ost=pro+signal+t-mb460> 

Check you have enabled the necessary handshake pins, and are receiving the same from the USB interface.
