[Elecraft] Power supply for KX3

The ubiquitous Radio Shack 22-124A (and its variants) power supply is
a perfect match for the KX-3. Manufactured by the millions and cheaper
than dirt on that watery place or under hamfest tables it meets the
current-handling needs of the KX-3.

Subject: [Elecraft] Power supply for KX3

 My beautiful bride of 44 years is encouraging me to upgrade my shack
to an Elecraft KX3. (Seriously, she is the one who brought it up!) At
the same time I will be reducing the footprint of all of my
accumulated gear including my ancient, but still working, Astron
RS-35A power supply. Elecraft offers a little switcher made by
Powerwerx for $119, and for convince I might just go ahead and add
that to my KX3 order, but I thought that I would first ask if any of
you have other (better? less expensive?) suggestions for a switching
power supply to run the KX3 on? BTW, I’m strictly a QRP/CW op so
there will be no future plans for an amplifier.

 Thanks ahead of time for any thoughts and suggestions.
