[Elecraft] KSYNA/KSYN reverse Swaps

Happy Saturday from So-Cal.

Quick question for K3 owners.

A local ham who has 2 K3 radios,wants me to take rig # 1 which has a newer 
KSYNA board,and swap it with radio # 2 which has the older board.

I have done many upgrades where I remove the old board,replace it with a 
newer board..do the calibrate function as per the manual,and it works 
fine..super easy..

When I do it in reverse..put the older board back into a radio that has the 
newer board ..do I still do the calibrate step ? or will it work fine after 
the swap ?
