Whether the WinKeyer is necessary depends on the logging program for sending
CW.  N3FJP's ACLog CANNOT use the same virtual serial port to control the
rig and send CW like N1MM+ can.  ACLog MUST have a separate (like the
WinKeyer) port for CW.  OTOH, DXLab Suite (and others) is able to accomplish
the same magic as N1MM+.

You have to know/understand the software requirements/capabilities as well
as the rig's specifications today to put a shack together and make it work. 
A critical element of this is to RTFM for all hardware and software, not the
American Male Way.
