 I was considering something like this 50 KHz-200MHz Malahit SDR receiver for RFI hunting.  Spectrum display would be very useful.  I have no experience with it but it looks interesting.

The PL660 has the the AM aircraft band, which can be an advantage in 
direction finding. They are fine radios.
