--------------------
I sold my K3 a few weeks ago for 1600 GBP (around $2000) plus carriage or
collection, it was serial #80 from late 2007, with updated synths, second
RX, 1 x 6K, 2 x 400 Hz, 1 x 250 Hz and the 2 x 2800 Hz 8 pole filters that
are normally fitted as standard in each RX, general coverage board in main
RX, KIO3 and DVR board. The package also included a basic P3 pan adapter.
It was advertised on here and a UK flea market page.

I had an email from a well known K6 who seemed keen to buy, but not sure he
wanted to pay the asking price, he has a lot of Elecraft gear listed on
eBay and eHam. I was not willing to ship to California.

There were two UK hams interested, one was a time waster the other
brilliant, he paid the asking price and arranged collection by DHL. I had
tried dealers for a trade-in, but not one was interested in an old K3.

I'm not sure UK prices equate to what you might obtain in the USA, but few
seemed to be interested in buying an elderly K3.
