Hi Gary,

I have two large vertical loops for 160 - 40 M each is directional NE/SW
& NW/SE. As long as each antenna presents a fairly low SWR to the tuner,
you will be ok. If, say, both antennas are at or below 3:1 SWR when
tuner is bypassed, at a particular frequency, you should be ok switching
from one to the other while un-keyed & then keying up full power at the
new ant setting. I train the tuner for each antenna separately after
erasing any settings for that band. Then I only have two choices for the
tuner to make. Even then, you may get a fault response if you tune to a
freq where one antenna is way above 3:1 & the other is not and you key
full power - I usually apply 'tune' power after a change of antennas &
it seems to be ok. The tuner will match almost anything below 10:1 or so
but you can't run full power with the higher SWR's. 160M is real picky
above 4:1, 80-6M will still allow about 750W at 10:1. Take a look at the
user manual on the Elecraft site for better info. It is the best amp I
have used but you have to get familiar with it's limitations.

Good luck - 73 Gill W4RYW
