[Elecraft] Reliable PL-259 UHF connector engagement

Similar experience here: threading defect.

Amphenol is an offshore product. Need I say more? Only this-- make sure 
to test the threading & fit of the plugs on your equipment sockets 
*before* soldering them to cables.
