Good Evening,

    It has been well over a week since we have had a blank sun. Much 
better than the last year.  Maybe things are looking up. There was some 
radiation from a flare but no CME will arrive. Sunspot AR2770 is 
pointing at us so you never know.

   There are some signs of fall.  A few of the shrubs are starting to 
turn color.  I'm seeing a change in the bird population too. Luckily I 
have a lot of wood ready to collect.  It may be a cold, snowy winter.

    I haven't found the best time for the forty meter net. Propagation 
was better with last week's time change but let's try it another 15 
minutes later.  The QSB may settle down, with a few more long distance 
signals.  As the sun moves south I'll move the time earlier.
