Are you sure?  Sounds like a Beta version. The latest "stable" version of
Chrome for Linux reportedly is indeed ver. 81.0.4044.113.

That looks like old news. The article talks about version 81 of Chrome. On 
my Linux machine I already have version 83 installed.
