[Elecraft] KX2 battery issue

I noticed today that while operating my KX2 with the original equipment
Tenergy 10.8V battery, the transmit power folded back from 10W to 5W each
time I keyed the microphone. The battery is fully charged.  It does not
happen with the 11.1V unbranded replacement battery that I also purchased
from Elecraft.  Could the Tenergy battery be developing a higher than
normal internal resistance?
