They add WiFi capability to any device that has an Ethernet port.  Be sure to follow the configuration instructions CAREFULLY.  Search for "WiFi Ethernet  bridge".   Sadly, the price of this Netgear device has doubled (now $200 USD on Amazon) since I bought mine.  Happily, cheaper devices are finally on the market.Mark,KE6BB
