More good info!!  I went ahead and ordered the KTCX03-1 and the 2m transverter reference lock upgrade.

Yes, a 10MHz GPS locked reference source. Or wait for about an hour from 
cold for the TXCO to stabilise. Calibration might be off, east to 
correct, but it will not be moving much.
