Whether you can do something with less capable equipment that someone 
else uses more sophisticated gear to do isn't the point. The point is 
that two receivers are better than one. Personally, I could deal with 
split pileups with a single receiver (as I did for many years) but I 
could not have diversity reception without them. And I would NEVER want 
to give that up.
