KPA1500 probably too big for priority mail and would have to go
parcel post which charges by postal zones (automatically calculated
when you enter both your and Elecraft's zip codes).

I use to run a business where I shipped mainly flat-rate boxes but on
occasion used parcel post. Alaska to Miami, FL was most expensive
via parcel post. But UPS/FedEx were more than double the cost of
priority mail when shipped in/out of AK.

Most large businesses that ship everyday get special commercial
shipping rates from USPS so using Elecraft shipping calculator might
provide a lower rate than private party would get. If you are not
Elecraft you would not get those rates.
