OK ... you're talking about the K2"S" software ... kinda confusing there
for a sec.

The program has not been updated (as far as I can tell) since 2003.   
Have you tried running the program under COMPATIBILITY MODE?   Right
click on the software's icon to bring up the menu and select
PROPERTIES.   Then select the Compatibility  tab.   On that tab you'll
find a button for the "Run Compatibility Troubleshooter".    It should
fix the issue.  If after it runs, you still have the problem, try
setting the compatibility manually, by clicking on the box in that tab,
and selecting Windows 7.
