I've not had a problem with com ports changing with Windows 10 updates."This made me realize that I have not seen com port reassignment on update on my Win 10 computers.  I have seen it in the past on my Win 7 computers.  I also have my computers (Win 7 and 10) set so updates are only installed when I shut down, or if I ask for them before that.  I never get interrupted for updates.  The setting for that is in Windows Updates somewhere.  I'm not near my computers right now to check.Mark,KE6BB
