In many instances using a balun, not for balanced to unbalanced
applications, but for impedance transformation application is
suggested. Use a 4:1 as a 1:4 in order to get the low Z to a higher
value. In most tuners, the low impedance range has more loss than the
high impedance range. I recall that Elecraft makes just this item.
