Hi Ian

First, make sure that CONFIG: TECH MD is set to On. You won't ever
need to change that again.

Got to CONFIG: DDS FRQ.  If the display shows 3.58something, then
you have the older KSYN3. If the display shows - - - - then it's a
KSYN3A (which doesn't have a DDS).
