[Elecraft] KDVR3 "AF play" stucked

After recording for in excess of 90 seconds in my KDVR3/K3s, when I held "AF play" I repetedly got a message "end" that I could not get rid off for a while, even by turning the VFO B knob. Found no clue both in the manual nor the KE7X handbook.

Finally after pushing a lot of DVR-related commands, it unlocked. Cannot figure out how this happened exactly.

Maybe Waine had an idea?

Is this a bug?
