[Elecraft] PTT switch for K3

I built my own with a pushbutton switch that had what seemed
like a good feel from a ham fest.

It consists of two wedges of wood to set the angle of the pedal,
a base of 1/4" plywood with the switched recessed so just the
top is above the base, and a piece of 3/16" plywood hinged to
push the switch with the foot. The hinge is a piece of gaffer's
tape -- duct tape would also work. I may have to replace the
tape sometime, but it has held up well for about 4 years.

After I used it for a while, I added a "dead pedel" on the right
side. This lets me rest my foot on the dead pedal and just twist
the foot it to transmit. I would look for a dead pedal feature
in any commercial pedal, since holding my foot up caused sore
muscles after a while.

Some of the musician pedals can be switched between push-on,
release-off and push to toggle on/off. If you talk for a long
time, this option might be attractive and a substitute for a
dead pedal.
