Yeah, I encountered that issue myself.   You’ll need to crib up something yourself. The thread is 4-40 pitch.  The size of the threaded hole ought to be documented somewhere.

Yes, there may be an Elecraft thumbscrew.  Once you determine the size, 
look through the KX3 assembly manual to see if there is a match in 
thread size.
