I am not sure what kind (size, shape) of Li batteries are in the KX2 but as a caver I use 18650 Li batteries in my lights. I have found the Nitecore D4 intelligent charger that works on both 120 VAC and 13 VDC that does a good job of charging a variety of Li and Ni-cad batteries either at home or one the road.

Hi folks.
Just wondering how you go about charging the Elecraft supplied Lithium Ion
batteries for the KX2 from a car (13.8V) supply?
Are there recommended chargers for this? The Tenergy charger supplied by
Elecraft runs from 100-240V range.
Thanks,
