Ed,

Can you connect the K3 Utility to your K3S using the USB cable supplied
with the K3S?

If not then it sounds like you have a FTDI driver issue.

If the K3S connects to the K3 Utility then please send an e-mail to <
support at elecraft.com> letting them know your KPA1500 USB issues.
