If the topic is one that might interest other list readers and 
is off topic, I recommend the old USENET protocol of saying:

   Please reply to me and I will summarize for the list.

This protocol will let everyone interested in topic know the 
responses, help keep Eric happy by limiting OT posts, and keep 
the people who want the list to be only Elecraft a bit happier.
