I wholly agree.  Every tuner placed in line has loss, two have twice or 
more the loss.  I rather deal with a bit of SWR.  The loss in the line 
due to any  amount of SWR on the line does not change with the use of a 
tuner.

Of course the tuner makes the radio and its operator seem more satisfied 
then all is well.  Match the line to the load and don't worry about it.
