I bought a 1K used from a friend. It's usability is ok, but he's had it 
fixed a couple of times and my measurements show that it's not a very 
clean amp.  I've heard that the 1.3K is pretty dirty. The primary virtue 
of the 1.3K is its very light weight, so it's great to take on an 
airplane. I bought the 1K to get 900W on 6M on CW and SSB.
